Being an experienced and accomplished professional, I feel I could be the perfect match for the role. With a decade of experience in teaching Science/chemistry/biology, evolving and innovating the teaching and learning techniques from classical to modern pedagogies, I have a good command over myriad classroom situations to cater dynamic needs of students for their overall development in the subject. What has worked for my successful teaching is the holistic approach in training of science skills from basic concepts to advanced concepts by mapping and connecting previous knowledge with current and future curriculum to ease student’s to achieve their science roadmap. I usually do it by proper diagnosis, gap analysis and curriculum mapping, which allows me to differentiate and plan my lessons according to the “needs and wants”. You will see my lesson plan divided into many “micro-lessons ending with formative assessment and feedback with positive reinforcement”. I make sure my average handling time is minimal, so that all students are engaged. Proper introduction, declaration of the topic with catchy starter activity and positive reinforcement is the mantra of motivation which works almost all times with me. Main activity focuses on the accomplishment of Learning Objective, which is usually defined by a focus question which doesn’t allow students to deviate. My lesson plan makes sure that all energy of students is channeled into activities which is effective in reducing behaviour issues apart from defined classroom rules and regulations. Further knowing students, by names, related information and history, and looping up with parents actively and responsibly has been my secret to my success. I take personal interest in response to intervention program to maximise individual attention span which helps students to achieve on level objectives. A good sense of humour, supportive and caring nature boosts the confidence and trust of students in learning science is what I have learnt so far. Regular piece meal assessment keeps students at par and doesn’t alienate the summative assessment as feared by students. I am a versatile trained graduate with nearly 2 years experience in teaching of science in U.A.E, which has evolved me to perform on an international teaching platform to prove my metal as an asset to the education sector. I am a good learner, flexible to adapt and evolve and a good team member. I like to participate in school editorials, cultural shows and debates and declamations.
