My teaching philosophy is based on creating a student-centered classroom in which students are actively engaged in constructing their own understanding. I believe that students learn best when they are valued, supported and encouraged to share their perspectives. My role is to develop meaningful experiences that capitalize on students prior knowledge and interest to facilitate learning. I promote inquiry learning, where students ask questions, explore ideas and think critically. I don’t just want to deliver content, I want to help students explore real-world problems and come up with their own insights. My classroom is a collaborative and discussion-based environment, helping students to learn from each other and to improve their thinking My ultimate goal is to develop confident, curious, independent learners who are prepared for life-long learning.
