Himanshi Dewan

A compassionate mental health professional with an MSc in Clinical Psychology, aiming to support students’ emotional, social, and academic development through a holistic and student-centred approach. I believe that every child deserves a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to reach their potential. My approach focuses on preventive mental health care, socio-emotional learning, early identification of concerns, and collaboration with teachers and parents to promote overall well-being. Through my experience in school settings, NGOs, and clinical environments, I have developed skills in counselling, psychoeducation, psychological assessment, behaviour management, and conducting group sessions/workshops. Key strengths include empathetic communication, active listening, rapport building with children and adolescents, maintaining confidentiality, crisis management, and creating inclusive spaces that support diverse student needs.
