My philosophy of education is built on a simple foundation: technology is not just a tool to learn, but a language to master. My goal as an educator is to transform students from passive users of technology into analytical, ethical, and highly skilled digital creators who can thrive anywhere in the world. With over 15 years of experience teaching at colleges and universities across India and Africa, combined with hands-on experience teaching IGCSE ICT since July 2022, I approach education with a global perspective. I connect advanced, high-level academic concepts with the practical, structured skills that younger students need to succeed. Key Pillars of My Educational Approach A Global Perspective on Learning: Having taught at universities in India and Africa, I understand that classrooms are diverse and deeply connected to the global economy. I bring this international mindset to the IGCSE ICT curriculum. I design lessons that treat technology as a universal tool, preparing my students to meet competitive international standards. Using Data to Build High Achievers: I use student data and exam results to guide how I teach. For example, in my recent IGCSE ICT cohort of 43 students, 74% of the class earned top-tier marks (5 A, 14 A, and 13 B*), while 93% achieved a passing grade of C or higher. I look closely at these metrics to find out what is working well, identify specific areas where students need help, and build targeted revision plans so every student can reach their highest potential. Connecting Higher Education with School Success: My extensive background in higher education allows me to teach the IGCSE curriculum with an eye toward the future. I do not just teach students how to pass their current exams; I teach them the project management skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities they will need for university and their future careers. Creating a Supportive and Inclusive Classroom: A great ICT classroom must support students at all skill levels. While I push my top-performing students to aim for A* grades, I also make sure to provide clear, practical help for students who find the material difficult (such as those working through D or E grade thresholds). I break down complex practical tasks into small, manageable steps so that every student builds confidence online and in the lab.
