Rahul Giri

  I am a performing arts enthusiast who love to create new things, craft and experience for the people. I believe performing arts has the capabilities to heal the older and develop the younger . I am a Delhi University graduate and during my bachelors days I was very active in theatre. In my third year I was the president of my college theatre society and have done many stage and street plays. I was the mentor and teacher in the college theatre society also I have directed many plays for the college students. Later in 2022 I went to pursue my master’s in performing arts (theatre) from school of performing arts, Pondicherry University, Puducherry. There I was the topper of my class and worked consistently in developing the craft of children’s theatre, theatre in education , healing through theatre and political theatre. There I got to introduced to some of the finest writers of the world also got chance to do several great plays as an actor , director and technician in some. I have also learned terukkuttu ( tamil folk theatre ) and Kalaripayattu ( martial arts ) which is a great tool for body movements and acting skills. I have learned children’s theatre and theatre in education which is a great tool for building communication skills in children’s as well as teenagers and adults also it can help the students to learn there texts in a different and interesting way. It can makes students fall in love with the books and literature and helps in understanding a better way of living which can create a better and confident child hence a better future. I am very fond of children’s and want to work with them as a guide or teacher or mentor who can understand them and solve their problems in a creative artist way. I am teaching theatre in formal and informal way from my college days and have always loved it.
