Renu Sawhney

With a passion for teaching and over 10 years of experience in the teaching field coupled with my commitment to work, As an educator, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of subjects and age groups fostering an environment that promotes holistic development for students. My experience includes teaching environmental studies, Math, and Hindi to students in classes I, II, III. Additionally, I have worked with fundamental building blocks of education, such as the alphabets, phonics, numbers and shapes. I have experience in teaching, with a proficiency in early childhood education and an insightful understanding of children's behavior and child psychology. I am known for my skillful creativity and inspirational and motivational approach to education. I have planned and overseen educational field trips, year-end concerts, and events for children from preschool to class 5. As a teacher, I set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge my students. I impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time, adapting my teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of my students. I am a collaborative team player, an empathetic listener, and an internationally minded educator, with a flexible and a can-do attitude. I am pro-active and accountable for my own development. In my previous role, I was responsible for a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, observe, evaluate, encourage, and provide feedback on students’ progress and development preparing required reports on students and activities. My aim is to explore the potential of children, involve them in a host of activities which help develop different skills required for formal schooling and mold them as lifelong learners who are happy to come back to school day after day. The transition from home to school must be happy, enriching, and enjoyable.
