Shikha Singh

I am pursuing a Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) from Singhania University, have completed diploma program in International Education from Asian College of Teachers and am a Chemical Engineer. I graduated from D.C.E.T., Panjab University. For the past 5 years, I have been immersed in the world of tutoring, guiding students through the intricate world of Maths and Science. I was also associated with Cuemath as a Math Facilitator for International and Indian students. Based on my teaching skills and performance, I got a Mentor and Evaluator role too. While my journey didn’t begin in a traditional classroom setting, it’s been a rich experience that has allowed me to develop unique approaches to teaching. The joy of watching students’ faces light up when they attain the spark of understanding, is what fuels my passion for education. Now, I am eager to bring my enthusiasm for learning to a large group of students. I believe in making Maths and Science relatable and engaging. Instead of rote learning, I encourage exploration and discovery. I use real-world examples, hands-on activities, puzzles, quizzes, games, story telling, picture illustrations, role plays, charades, realia, and relevant audio or video clips to help children understand the concepts. Each child is unique and learns in different ways. Few are word smart, body smart, etc. so, I make my lesson plan in such a way that I use 8 multiple intelligences. I also incorporate the 4 C’s which are critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. I try to make my class engaging so that every student participates. I am empathetic, patient and sincere.  If given an opportunity, I will give my best.
