Tamanna Chakraborty

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Economics from Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata, with a strong passion for a career in education. My goal is to establish a long-term profession, contributing to teaching while staying updated on cutting-edge educational technologies. I am committed to providing quality education that fosters the holistic development of children, promoting creativity and higher-order thinking skills. During my internship at Shri Shikshayatan School, I led the design of 34 diverse learning modules, creating an inclusive classroom environment using multimedia tools aligned with CISCE standards. By employing innovative role-play methodologies, I enhanced student engagement and assisted in organizing the STEAM Exhibition in the school. This transformative experience solidified my teaching skills and emphasized my commitment to dynamic and interactive learning environments. Before my current academic pursuit, I completed an M.Sc. in Economics at the University of Calcutta, specializing in International Economics, Economics of Money and Finance, and Resource and Environmental Economics, achieving a notable CGPA of 7.219. My academic journey began with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Economics from Vivekananda College and was furthered by my schooling at Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School, establishing a strong foundation in economic principles and real-world applications. Outside of academics, I have diverse interests, including reading, teaching, trekking, mountaineering and creative expressions like music and poetry writing, which contribute to my holistic personality and overall well-being. I possess skills such as honesty, a strong ability to learn, unwavering dedication, effective problem resolution, and excellent communication. I thrive in collaborative environments and excel in team management, skills honed through both academic and extracurricular experiences.
