Position Overview :

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Social Studies Teacher (Middle) to teach Classes 5 to 8. The role involves developing students’ understanding of history, geography, civics, and economics while fostering critical thinking, awareness, and real-world connections. 

Key Responsibilities 

● Teach Social Studies to students of Classes 5–8 
● Deliver curriculum aligned with CBSE–NCERT standards

● Teach core subjects including:

  1. History (events, timelines, civilizations) 
  2. Geography (physical and human geography, maps) 
  3. Civics (democracy, governance, rights & duties) 
  4. Economics (basic concepts for secondary level) 
  5. Encourage analytical thinking, interpretation, and discussion-based learning 
  6. Use activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven teaching methods 
  7. Integrate current affairs and real-world context into lessons
  8. Prepare students for school assessments and CBSE internal exams
  9. Design lesson plans, projects, map work, and competency-based assessments
  10. Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  11.  Support differentiated instruction for diverse learners 
  12. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment 
  13. Organize and participate in projects, exhibitions, and field-based learning activities 
  14. Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary teaching 
  15. Participate in school events, assemblies, and professional development programs 
  16. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress 

 

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualifications:

● B.A. / M.A. in Social Studies / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics 
● B.Ed. (Mandatory as per CBSE norms)

Experience & Skills:

● 3–6 years of teaching experience (CBSE preferred) 
● Strong subject knowledge across Social Studies disciplines 
● Familiarity with CBSE–NCERT syllabus (Classes 5–8)
● Ability to make subjects engaging through storytelling, discussions, and activities 
● Experience in handling secondary classes (9–10) is an advantage 
● Strong classroom management and communication skills 
● Ability to integrate maps, case studies, and current affairs 
● Basic proficiency in digital tools and presentations 
● Passion for teaching and developing socially aware students
