Job description

Homeroom Teacher

The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for the overall academic, behavioural, and personal development of students and serves as the link between students, parents, and the school.

Key Responsibilities 

Maintain attendance, discipline, punctuality, and classroom decorum. Monitor students’ academic progress, classwork, homework, and notebooks. Coordinate with subject teachers regarding students’ progress and concerns. Communicate professionally with parents and address routine student concerns. Maintain accurate student records and class documentation. Encourage students’ participation in school activities and events. Perform assigned duties such as assembly, lunch, dispersal, and invigilation. Follow school policies and instructions and work collaboratively with the team. Take complete ownership and accountability for the assigned class.
