Job description

Trinity School is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse/ Welfare Officer. This role is vital for ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff. The nurse will provide immediate medical attention and promote overall well-being within our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
  • Administer prescribed medications following school policy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
  • Conduct health screenings and assist with health education programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student health concerns.
  • Manage the school infirmary and maintain medical supplies.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma.
  • Valid nursing license/registration.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
