You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to create a safe and positive school environment. Key Responsibilities
- Individual Counseling: Conduct one-on-one sessions for students dealing with behavioral issues, anxiety, academic stress, or personal challenges.
- Group Workshops: Organize and lead sessions on topics like bullying prevention, study skills, time management, and emotional intelligence.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during student conflicts or emotional distress.
- Career Guidance: Assist secondary students (Class 9 & 10) in understanding their strengths and choosing appropriate academic streams for Junior College.
- Parent-Teacher Consultation: Collaborate with parents and teachers to develop strategies for students with special needs or learning disabilities (remedial support).
- Documentation: Maintain strictly confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor/Master's in Psychology (Counselling or Clinical) is mandatory.
- Professional: A Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling is highly preferred.
- Experience: Min 1 year of experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting.
- Skills: Deep empathy, active listening, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Language: Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is highly desirable to communicate effectively with our diverse student and parent base in Mumbai.
