Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

Academic & Curriculum

  1. Teach CBSE Mathematics for Grades 11 & 12.
  2. Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
  3. Build strong conceptual, analytical, and application-based understanding of Mathematics.
  4. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question banks, assignments, and study materials.
  5. Board & Competitive Exam Preparation

Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations.

  1. Conduct regular tests, revisions, and doubt-clearing sessions.
  2. Teach Mathematics for competitive examinations such as IIT-JEE as required.
  3. Train students through advanced problems, PYQs, mock tests, and application-based questions.
  4. Develop effective problem-solving techniques, exam strategies, and answer-writing skills.
  5. Assessment & Student Support

Conduct and evaluate periodic tests, pre-boards, and mock examinations.

  1. Analyse student performance and identify learning gaps.
  2. Provide remedial and enrichment support based on individual student needs.
  3. Mentor students on academic performance, examination preparation, and competitive examinations.
  4. Encourage logical reasoning, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills.
  5. CBSE Evaluation & Professional Responsibilities
  6. Apply experience as a CBSE Board Examiner/Evaluator, where applicable.
  7. Follow CBSE marking schemes and assessment standards.
  8. Participate in moderation, academic planning, and curriculum development.
  9. Collaborate with the Mathematics Department and participate actively in school activities.
  10. Maintain academic records, lesson plans, assessment documentation, and student performance data.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  1. M.Sc. in Mathematics or a relevant postgraduate degree from a recognised university.
  2. B.Ed. preferred/required as per applicable norms.
  3. 5–10+ years of experience teaching CBSE Mathematics for Grades 11 & 12.
  4. Prior CBSE Board Examiner/Evaluator experience is highly preferred.
  5. Experience teaching Mathematics for IIT-JEE and/or other competitive examinations will be an advantage.
  6. Strong command of Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics, and other relevant areas of Mathematics.
  7. Good understanding of the CBSE syllabus, examination patterns, and assessment requirements.
  8. Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  10. Ability to work effectively with both high-performing and academically challenged students.
  11. Experience in reputed CBSE schools or coaching/integrated programmes will be an advantage.
