Job description

Skill Stork International School is seeking nurturing IB Early Years Programme (EYP) Assistant Teachers to join our Early Learning team. The role focuses on delivering play-based, inquiry-driven learning aligned with the IB PYP Early Years philosophy, supporting the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young learners. We are looking for educators who are passionate about early childhood education, child-centric learning environments, and holistic development within an international school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the Assistant Teacher to Homeroom Teacher for IB Early Years classes
  2. Support HRT to plan and implement play-based, inquiry-led learning experiences aligned with IB EYP guidelines
  3. Assist to foster language development, numeracy, social skills, and emotional well-being
  4. Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment
  5. Observe, document, and assess student learning using age-appropriate IB assessment practices
  6. Maintain individual student portfolios and learning documentation
  7. Collaborate closely with homeroom teacher, coordinators, and specialists
  8. Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and conferences
  9. Uphold child safeguarding, health & safety, and professional ethics

Requirements:

Eligibility & Experience Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 years of pre-primary teaching experience – Compulsory
  2. Freshers need not apply
  3. Qualifications E.C.C.Ed / NTT / Montessori-trained / B.Ed. – Mandatory Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Child Development - Preferred

Employment Commitment Requirement

  1. This is a full-time, on-campus role requiring complete professional commitment.
  2. Concurrent employment, freelance work, or private tuition during the academic year is not permitted.
  3. Pursuing any regular academic programme (full-time or part-time) that interferes with school responsibilities is not permissible.
  4. Candidates must be able to fully dedicate their time and professional focus to the school and students.
