Chemistry Teacher (ICSE / ISC – Grades 9, 10 & 11)

Role Overview Kingston High School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-centric Chemistry Teacher with strong expertise in the ICSE and ISC curriculum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering conceptual, application-based learning, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering scientific curiosity through practical and experiential methods. Key Responsibilities Academic Delivery

• Teach Chemistry for ICSE (Grades 9 & 10) and ISC (Grade 11)
• Plan and deliver structured lesson plans aligned to CISCE guidelines
• Simplify complex concepts using experiments, models, and real-life applications
• Ensure strong board exam preparation and performance outcomes

Laboratory & Practical Work

• Plan and conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations
• Ensure safe lab practices and chemical handling protocols
• Maintain lab records, stock registers, and experiment logs

Student Assessment & Tracking

• Design and administer tests, assignments, and assessments
• Track student progress and learning gaps
• Provide remedial support and enrichment programmes

Curriculum & Academic Support

• Contribute to question paper setting, evaluation, and moderation
• Support curriculum development and academic planning
• Participate in academic meetings and teacher training programmes

Student Engagement

• Encourage inquiry-based learning and scientific temperament
• Mentor students for science fairs, Olympiads, and projects
• Maintain positive classroom management and discipline

Parent & School Communication

• Provide regular feedback to parents on academic progress
• Participate in PTMs, school events, and academic reviews

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.)
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – Preferred / Mandatory as per role level
• 3–5+ years of teaching experience in ICSE/ISC curriculum
• Proven experience in handling Grades 9–12 Chemistry

• Strong subject expertise in Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry
• Excellent board exam orientation and result focus
• Ability to make concepts easy, engaging and application-based
• Good lab management and safety knowledge
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart boards

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in ISC Board exam corrections or paper setting
• Exposure to NEET/JEE foundation coaching (added advantage)
• Passion for experiential and activity-based learning
