Job description

Summary:
The Senior Secondary Biology Teacher (PGT) will deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to students in grades 11 and 12. This role focuses on fostering a deep understanding of biological concepts and preparing students for academic success. The teacher will inspire curiosity and critical thinking in a supportive learning environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive Biology lessons for senior secondary students.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by institute policy.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and school events as assigned.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.


Required Skills:

  • Master's degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Biology at the senior secondary level (PGT).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and modern teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
