Job description

A's Steward Morris School is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Secondary Physics Teacher (PGT) to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to make Physics engaging and concept-oriented for senior secondary students.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the curriculum, preparing students for board examinations and competitive exams, and fostering scientific thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics to Senior Secondary students effectively as per curriculum guidelines.
  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
  • Conduct practical sessions and laboratory activities safely and efficiently.
  • Encourage conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills among students.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly.
  • Prepare students for board examinations and competitive entrance exams.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
  • Participate actively in school academic activities, meetings, and events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance and development.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Senior Secondary classes preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and classroom technologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to simplify complex Physics concepts.
  • Strong laboratory handling and practical demonstration skills.
  • Student-centered teaching approach.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in CBSE curriculum will be an added advantage.
