Job description

Summary:

The Montessori Directress will lead a pre-primary classroom for children aged 2.5-6 years. This role focuses on implementing the Montessori philosophy to foster independence and a love for learning. You will create a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain an engaging Montessori classroom environment.
  • Deliver the full Montessori curriculum to children aged 2.5-6 years.
  • Observe, guide, and support each child's individual development and progress.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with parents and guardians.
  • Conduct regular assessments and provide comprehensive progress reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.

Required Skills:

  • AMI or AMS Montessori Diploma for the 3-6 age group.
  • Proven experience working as a Montessori Directress in a pre-primary setting.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong observational skills and a deep understanding of child development.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for the Montessori method.
